Tomorrow is Another Day...

I know it's been a while... Over a month to be exact. I've sat down many times to write and then easily became distracted and forgot all about it.

We have moved into our wonderful new house and absolutely loving it!  We have so much space and Sophie loves to go up and down the stairs! We are also loving our back and front yards! We love being outside!

Short version about my job...I never started. I was basically let go before I even started because they decided to hire a family member after they had already told me I had the job. What can you do...

We also got a dog! He's an American Staffordshire Terrier and he's just a big ole teddy bear!

Look at that face! :)

Sophie tortures the poor thing! lol
But she loves him! :)

Sophie also started and finished her one month of "school" and absolutely LOVED it! She wakes up most morning asking if she's going to school! It's so cute! :)

First Day of School! :)

Last day of school with our church friends! :)

In running news...I can run again!
If you follow me on my Facebook page, you had probably already seen that! I have run several times now with no hip pain! I am so excited! I'm planning on just running low mileage during the summer and trying to stay injury free! Plus it's too hot to run much anyway! :)

So that's the short versions of what has gone on for the past month...
Right now I'm in my hometown visiting family and going to my best friends daughters First Birthday!!!! Sophie had a blast at her birthday parity! I can't believe it was a year ago that I was down here for her birth! These kiddos grow too fast!

Also...I am writing this on my iPhone, so if it doesn't look right, I'm sorry! I just thought this would be easier than the computer at the moment.

Hopefully I won't wait a month to update again!

I'll be busy planning Sophie's SECOND birthday this next month! I can't believe she's going to be 2!!! :)

Starting over with something new.

Way back in 2012 I started running...for reals... I ran my first Virtual Half Marathon in June and then in the Fall, I started meeting up with a Moms RUN This Town friend 3-4 days a week to walk/run 3-4 miles with our kiddos in the stroller. We started training for the Cowtown Half Marathon and I started dropping weight. By December, I had lost 35 lbs (this was total since having Sophie, not just in 2-3 months) and I looked the best I had looked in a very long while. Then I ran the Cowtown Half in February of 2013, hurt my hip, stopped running, walked the Dallas Rock N Roll Half a month later and then stopped running for good until August of 2013. I then started trying to pick it up a bit here and there while also participating in Stroller Strides.  The thing is...I started gaining weight once I stopped running. Didn't matter if I was doing stroller strides. I just kept getting bigger. First it was just 10 lbs. I kept it at that 10 lb weight gain from August until January

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
