Rock N Roll Dallas Expo!

Yes, I realize this is a bit late! Sorry! :)

On Friday, March 22, 2013 I went to the Dallas RNR Expo!

After picking up my packet, some very nice ladies offered to take my picture!

After I picked up my shirt...

I got to see how long it was until the race!! :)

We got a pretty cool swag bag too! :)

While going through the expo, I won this bottle from a giant banana at Jamba Juice!
Sophie wasn't quite sure what to think of the giant talking banana!
She didn't want him near her though! lol

I bought this awesome stuff called ZipFizz!
Have any of you ever tried it?
It's actually pretty tasty!
Pink Lemonade is my Favorite!
It's an All Natural, 10 calorie, zero sugar energy drink!
I've drank it several times now on my walks and I think it boosts my energy for sure!

I also bought this very cute, sparkly pink headband from Hippie Runner!
It was too cute to pass up! :)

I bought my very first Sweaty Band!
I LOVE this thing! It's sooo bright!
This picture does not do it justice!

I bought all of this 13.1 stuff from a small shop and I cannot remember the name of it!
The socks and keychain say 13.1: I Don't Go All The Way!
I LOVED it! HaHa! Had to have them!

All of my swag! I had a lot of fun walking around the expo!

I posted this on my Facebook page, but here was my Flat MaMa for the race!

I realized later that I didn't take a pic of my shoes!
I had to add it on, because I love my bright pink LockLaces and this is the first race I got to wear my 13.1 Shubeez! I was so excited! :)

The final thing I did before taking off for my race was changing my iPhone background to this pic!

Can you tell I love pink?! HaHa :)

The Recap is coming up soon! :)

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
