My Healthy Journey Update! :)

I love that quote!
Especially since it fits so well with this next picture...

I'm 39 weeks pregnant here, but you can see the weightloss in my face!!
I had lost 20lbs before getting pregnant and gained 23...
That put me back at what I was in 2009, minus the huge belly! :)
The last and ONLY time I have worn that brown shirt was for my Rehearsal dinner in 2006 and it was too tight then!
(And if anyone in my wedding has a pic of me in it, please send it to me!!!
I can't find my rehearsal dinner pics ANYWHERE!!)

This is me in 2009 at my sister in laws wedding.
I thought I looked so pretty and skinny in that dress, but then I saw the photos.
Did I really look like that? (This is actually one of the better one's sadly)
My calves are huge, my arms are huge, my face is huge!
This is when I really decided I needed to do something...

If you read "My Weightloss Journey" tab, you can find a little more about my story Here.

Today. November, 17, 2012, I got on the scale.
I saw a number that has been my goal for the past 11 months.
A weight that I haven't seen since I got Married in March of 2006.
I literally SQUEALED out loud!

I posted about it on my personal Facebook page and then went out for a 4 mile run.
I came home and I just had to see if being on my feet for an hour had gotten my weight back up out of my goal. (I used to swell when I was on my feet for even 30 min., but not anymore!) It was the exact same as when I left this morning! I was so super excited!!! Maybe this is real this time! Maybe, just maybe, I have gotten over my plateau and will finally start to really lose!

Now for my next task...Continuing to lose through the holidays!
I'm already signed up for my very first Turkey Trot, so I think I'll do great for Thanksgiving, it's just the entire month of December I'm worried about! I'm a total sucker for Christmas cookies!
*Side note- I have tried to run a Turkey Trot for the past 2 years and have talked myself out of it both times. Not this time! I'm getting a medal for it too, which makes it even more exciting!

Through my 11 lb weightloss in 11 months, I have learned how to eat. I have had some major mental setbacks, but I have been Soda free since March, so I know I can hold back on eating an entire roll of cookie dough cookies by myself. :)

I know I can!
And you know who will help me?
ALL OF YOU!

All of you that have messaged me and commented that I "inspire" you!
I cannot and will not let you down! This has been a very long journey for me, and it is not over yet! And when I do get to my goal weight, it still won't be over! :)

Since I have become a SweatPink Ambassador and a Girl Gone Sporty Ambassador, I have gained even more support from the blogging world! Especially on Facebook!

I do not want to disappoint anyone, which is actually a great means of motivation for me!
Yes, I am doing this for myself, but I'm also doing this to set a great example for my daughter!
Oh and for my sanity as well.
I can seriously say I'm a happier wife and momma after I run! :)
I feel accomplished and like a Super Mom! :)

If anyone wants to buy me this for Christmas, I'll take it! HaHa :)

I wanted to end with another picture of me and my new body.
(That's what it feels like anyway!)
I absolutely love this outfit now!
I even wear it to grocery shop and it makes me want to shop better since I kinda look like I work out or something. HaHa :)
(Please disregard the HORRIBLE mess in the background...I'll just say, it's not my mess! lol!)

I hope I can continue to motivate others in the future!
Please do this for yourself!
It's a total and complete lifestyle change!

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
