Personal Saver/Road ID

I am now an affiliate for both Personals Savers and Road ID!

I have posted just recently about how much I love my Personal Saver and my Wrist Saver. Now you can purchase it through the link on my blog! I also just saw that they have a new product called the Baby Saver! It's the mace that connects to your jogging stroller! I will be purchasing this for me soon, that way it can just stay on my stroller and I don't even have to worry about remembering it on my runs! :)

You can now order any of the Personal Saver products from the link on the right side bar of my blog!

I'm not sure I have ever written about my Road ID before!

This is my awesome pink Wrist ID Slim!
I also got a red band, just in case I don't want to wear pink. (Which is rare! haha)

I have not taken my Road ID off since I got it back in the beginning of this year!
It makes me feel a bit safer knowing that any EMT or Police officer could find out information they need to help me and reach my family! I have the Interactive one and there is place in the Notes where I put all of my daughters emergency info as well! Her birthday, blood type, and allergies! I know she is almost always with me, and if it could help her and save her life, it is worth wearing it!
When my daughter gets a bit older, she will have her own! I think this is a great idea for kids! They will always have their info with them! Plus, with the Wrist ID Slim, it's a bit more stylish and I rarely remember that it's on my wrist! :)

Please always carry some form of ID on you!

You can now order a Road ID through my link on the right side bar of my blog!

You can also order through these links that will appear at the end of my blog posts now! :)

  1. I love Road ID! I suggest it to everyone who exercises or knows someone who does. I got my first one after having an asthma attack during a race (I had a cold too-bad runner). I thought how are they going to know I have asthma if I drop my inhaler?! I have the wrist, ankle and shoe ones. I could use a pink one though...LOL!

    1. Omg! Yes bad runner! lol I think that's funny that you have 3! I've thought about getting the shoe one, just because! It is scary to think what would happen if something happened and no one knew anything about you! And yes! Every girl needs a pink one! lol :)

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have

Starting over with something new.

Way back in 2012 I started running...for reals... I ran my first Virtual Half Marathon in June and then in the Fall, I started meeting up with a Moms RUN This Town friend 3-4 days a week to walk/run 3-4 miles with our kiddos in the stroller. We started training for the Cowtown Half Marathon and I started dropping weight. By December, I had lost 35 lbs (this was total since having Sophie, not just in 2-3 months) and I looked the best I had looked in a very long while. Then I ran the Cowtown Half in February of 2013, hurt my hip, stopped running, walked the Dallas Rock N Roll Half a month later and then stopped running for good until August of 2013. I then started trying to pick it up a bit here and there while also participating in Stroller Strides.  The thing is...I started gaining weight once I stopped running. Didn't matter if I was doing stroller strides. I just kept getting bigger. First it was just 10 lbs. I kept it at that 10 lb weight gain from August until January
