His name is BOB...

I have a new love in my life...
His name is BOB.

I would like you all to meet my new boyfriend BOB.
(not the cute baby girl!)

He is Amazing.

He turns on a dime, looks cool, keeps Sophie covered from the sun (and rain today!), and he is going to help me with new PR's! :)

I'm in L❤ve! :)

When I cam home from a day of shopping on Tuesday, there he was sitting on my doorstep.
I will admit, I jumped up and down and squealed like a little girl!
In front of my new neighbor who had just gotten home and was getting off his motorcycle! haha
I was sooooo excited!

I had posted on my Facebook a week earlier that he was on sale on Amazon and asked who wanted to buy it for me as an early Christmas present. I did it as a joke, even though I really did want one! Then I got a phone call for my mom-in-law asking if I really wanted it and said they would get it for me for Christmas if I did! I couldn't believe it! Um...Yes I want it Please and Thank you! :)

It arrived already put together! All I had to do was put the wheels on!
If you only knew what I went through to put my last one together...at 8 months pregnant....when it weighed 40 lbs....Let's just say, this was A LOT easier!

I must say, I can completely tell the difference between my cheapo jogging stroller and this amazing, hunky piece of a stroller! ha!

I believe the best part about BOB is how light he is! If I didn't hear my daughter talking to me most of the time, I wouldn't even believe I was pushing the thing! With my old stroller, I had to lock the front wheel in order to run because the whole stroller would start shaking uncontrollably. This one, not necessary to lock it! (They do, however,  recommend you run with the wheel locked.) He turns on a dime, the sunshade is twice as big as the other, and Sophie has more wiggle room! He also has more padding in the seat to make Sophie more comfortable! With the old stroller, when Sophie would fall asleep, she would end up laying her head on a hard piece of plastic and every time I hit the slightest bump she would hit her head. :( BOB doesn't have any plastic for her to hit her head on! She will have much better naps with BOB! :)

I am looking forward to many more rendezvous with BOB in the coming months as I train for my Half in March! I think we are going to have a great relationship! :)

* Does anyone else have any experience with BOB or any other "cheapo" jogging stroller?
Please share! I would love to hear! :)

Starting over with something new.

Way back in 2012 I started running...for reals... I ran my first Virtual Half Marathon in June and then in the Fall, I started meeting up with a Moms RUN This Town friend 3-4 days a week to walk/run 3-4 miles with our kiddos in the stroller. We started training for the Cowtown Half Marathon and I started dropping weight. By December, I had lost 35 lbs (this was total since having Sophie, not just in 2-3 months) and I looked the best I had looked in a very long while. Then I ran the Cowtown Half in February of 2013, hurt my hip, stopped running, walked the Dallas Rock N Roll Half a month later and then stopped running for good until August of 2013. I then started trying to pick it up a bit here and there while also participating in Stroller Strides.  The thing is...I started gaining weight once I stopped running. Didn't matter if I was doing stroller strides. I just kept getting bigger. First it was just 10 lbs. I kept it at that 10 lb weight gain from August until January

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
