Announcement * 5K Foam Fest!

I had someone e-mail me recently, asking if I had ever done a 5K Foam Fest Race, and if I knew there was one coming up in Dallas in November?  I replied back with a a "no" and she said she had read my blog and wanted to find out if I would be willing to go to attend the race and blog about it! I could barely contain my excitement as I feverishly replied with a resounding "Yes! I would LOVE to!"

They have offered me 4 tickets! One for me and a friend of mine (Maggie, who has done a mudrun before, but not a Foam Fest run) and 2 to GIVE AWAY!!!

So, as i have mentioned previously on my facebook page and here on my blog, I will soon be having a giveaway to any person who can make it to the Dallas 5K Foam Fest in Mesquite, TX on November 3rd! I will put up the giveaway within the next week after my Runner Decals Giveaway ends! :)

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
