National Running Day 2012 / 100th Post!

Happy National Running Day! :)

I ran 3.1 miles tonight and logged my miles to receive my official badge! :)

I almost didn't get to run, because it started storming this evening. It stopped later this evening, so after I put my Sophie to bed, I decided to head out in the dark! It was nice! There was a decent breeze and it was nice not having the sun beat down on me!

This was my last run before the Calder Twilight 5K on Friday! Tomorrow I am going to take it easy and maybe go out for a walk tomorrow evening! I'm excited about the race! I really hope to PR and I'm worried I will be very disappointed if I don't! This may be my only chance for a long time to race without my daughter in the jogging stroller! I really want to make it count!

The next time I will be racing without my daughter will be...
March 24, 2013!

I took full advantage of the $20 off today and signed up for the Rock and Roll Dallas Half!!
If you recall...I signed up for the 2011 Race on 10-10-10, only to find out I was pregnant on 10-17-10! I ended up being 7 months pregnant when race time came around and did not run! I'm hoping nothing will keep me from this one though! :) I don't plan on starting training for this until the fall though...I'm hoping it will be a bit cooler then! :)

This blog post happens to be my 100th post! It only took almost 2 years, but I finally made it to 100! Yay! :) Now lets see how long it will take for me to make it to 200! haha :)

How many miles were you able to log today? :)

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
