Relaxing Weekend

I took the weekend off after my 6 miles on Friday. I was seriously exhausted, sunburned, sneezing, and just felt like I needed a break! It was very relaxing! Saturday, Sophie and I just spent the day at the house and we had lunch and dinner out on the porch! It was such beautiful day! And then today, my hubby was off and we just hung around, had a dance party with Sophie (because we are awesome like that), and relaxed again! I also spent the weekend talking with a lot of awesome ladies in MRTT (Moms RUN this town, I will be calling it MRTT from now on haha). I have so many ideas, I'm ready to get started planning things with these wonderful moms! Now I am refreshed and ready to run this week! Can't wait!

I start the Joggermom Marathon on Tuesday! They just posted a pic of our race bib on Facebook!

I plan on printing it out and keeping it like I would do any other bib! I will try to get someone take a pic of me wearing it as well, but no promises! haha :) I'm excited to do this! In about 3 weeks, I will be leaving for a whole month, and I know this will help keep me accountable in running back in my hometown! I have to do it now! I have to finish the Marathon! I'm hoping to be able to run with one of my dear running pals,  Jesica over at Syked to Run, while I'm down! We have been talking about it for months now, and I think we will finally be able to run together this time! :) So excited!

I hope everyone has a great Monday and a great week!

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
