May toured the Dallas Cowboy's stadium and waited impatiently to see if Sophie would grace us with her presence early! lol Oh and realized that it had been 10 yrs since I graduated high school...crazy! :)

June had my beautiful baby girl! :) My world changed for the better! :)

July celebrated our daughter's first holiday!

August took our daughter to meet the rest of the extended family and celebrated my hubby's bday! It was also the first time he had been home since we moved to Fort Worth the prior October.

September took Sophie down to see everyone again and spend Labor day with the family! Including my brother who went down also! :)

October celebrated Sophie's first Halloween! She was the most precious little lady bug! And we moved to a new and better apartment complex! :) (Also dealt with the lose of our first babies:( ...our puppies)

November celebrated Sophie's first Thanksgiving! :)

December went to my hometown for Sophie's 6 months photo's, had Sophie's Christmas with the great grandparents and then celebrated Sophie's first Christmas! It was wonderful! :)

Starting over with something new.

Way back in 2012 I started running...for reals... I ran my first Virtual Half Marathon in June and then in the Fall, I started meeting up with a Moms RUN This Town friend 3-4 days a week to walk/run 3-4 miles with our kiddos in the stroller. We started training for the Cowtown Half Marathon and I started dropping weight. By December, I had lost 35 lbs (this was total since having Sophie, not just in 2-3 months) and I looked the best I had looked in a very long while. Then I ran the Cowtown Half in February of 2013, hurt my hip, stopped running, walked the Dallas Rock N Roll Half a month later and then stopped running for good until August of 2013. I then started trying to pick it up a bit here and there while also participating in Stroller Strides.  The thing is...I started gaining weight once I stopped running. Didn't matter if I was doing stroller strides. I just kept getting bigger. First it was just 10 lbs. I kept it at that 10 lb weight gain from August until January

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
