I won! :)

Today I found out I won a Given Brand Arm Pocket from the fabulous Running Diva Mom!

I am so excited to try it out! I actually have a problem with my Garmin Forerunner interfering with my wireless headphones and iPhone and I'm hoping this will help!

Last Wednesday I decided to take a little walk with my Princess. :)

It ended up being a 1 mile walk and Week 3 Day 2 of C25K! :)

It is starting to get cooler and I am wanting to spend more time outside!
I can't wait for little S to be able to sit up on her own so I can take her to the park and show her the swings! :) It will be so much fun and I know she will love them! :) (And YES I am enjoying every second of everything she does! I'm not trying to rush her at all! I don't want her to grow up too fast!)
The run went great! Even with the jogging stroller :) I know it's helping me burn more calories, so I don't mind...Plus I love having this adorable face to look at. :)
I'm looking forward to more runs in the fall and "winter"! Hopefully I can find more time to blog as well! :)

Just wanted to say a big "Hey" and "Thank You" to my new fellow blogger/runner Jesica over at Syked to Run! She has been helping me a lot with motivation to just get out there! I am hoping to run my first (and her first) half marathon with her in March! I just need to train now! lol :)

And I leave you now with my adorable little owl :)

  1. Good job on the 1 mile walk! That is great. Your little "owl" is adorable. I love that hat.. lol :)

  2. So how do you like that new little pocket thing you won??? have you tried it out yet? is it worth investing in one.... i need one that can hold keys and my iphone...... let me know what you think about it.

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
