2 miles :)

I just finished walking 2 miles on this beautiful day! It's only 62 degrees outside, the sun is shinning, and there is a wonderful cool breeze! It is a great day to be outside! I wish I could have kept going, but I'm still not sure how much my body can handle right now, and I didn't want to over do it! On the way back, I started having some major Braxton Hicks contractions, so I knew it was time for a rest.

Having all my gadgets with me has also made it fun! My wonderful husband got me these awesome Altec bluetooth earphones:
Altec Lansing 903 BackBeat Headphones
I love them! They are amazing!
They allow me to take calls wirelessly as well, so if I needed to answer the phone while out there, I could do so with a push of a button! :)

Also I have been carrying my pink Nathan Quickdraw water bottle! I love it! It's almost like not even carrying a bottle at all. Plus I can keep my apartment gate key in the side pocket and not have to worry about it in my pants pocket. I know I have to stay hydrated during the pregnancy, so this has definitely come in handy! :)
Nathan Quickdraw Plus Handheld 22-Ounce Bottle Carrier with Pocket (Royal Blue)

And then of course my Garmin Forerunner 305!

I love that I can now see the route I am taking, and exactly how long it takes for each mile. It's just interesting to me! Plus I know how far I have walked and whether I need to keep going or turn around! It's just been very helpful!

I can't wait to use all of these things, plus my awesome pink jogging stroller very soon! :)

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
