Craziness and a lot about the baby! :)

This past month has been CRAZY!!!
Here is the short version...

Cody's car broke down...So, what do we do?
We buy him a jeep! He's in love!

Then...DFW decides to freeze over. I miss 4 days of work because I can't drive on the ice! The SuperBowl comes to town and was literally right down the street from me! So many stars where there!
The traffic was INSANE! Especially after a week of being frozen indoors!

Then...I get in a car wreck! Everyone (including Sophia) is fine! Right after that I go to get my car inspected and oil changed and find out my battery is leaking (unrelated to the wreck, it was probably frozen from the week before).  An hour after that happens, I head to my hometown to register for the baby shower! I had so much fun! She will have sooo much pink stuff! haha :)

THEN....ONE day after I get back from my hometown, I get "laid off" from my job! The staffing agency calls me at 1 in the afternoon to tell me that the job doesn't need me anymore...What?!?

So...needless to say, it has been stressful around here! And I didn't even include my washer catching on fire and not being able to wash cloths for 2 weeks, the toilet overflowing all over the hallway, and the kitchen sink backing up for 2 days...Oh and the dogs waking us up all hours of the night barking. We bought a "play pen" for them and it has been a lifesaver! They sleep to 7am now! yay! :)

I can't believe all of that happened in a months time! That is crazy!!!
But for now...I am enjoying being a stay at home wife! I have enjoyed cooking dinners, cleaning, doing projects for Sophie's room, and just resting! (And job searching haha)

I kept having cramps while at work and I think I was on my feet to much! I still get them at home, but they have significantly decreased!

btw...
Her official name is Sophia Grace!
We will be calling her Sophie!
I love her name! :)
These letters will go over her crib! :)
I painted them myself! And glued the bows on :)

I had my 2nd doctors appointment on February 22nd. I was supposed to go on Feb. 4th, but DFW closed down because of all the ice! Sophia measured normal and I have only gained 7lbs! yay! :) My next appointment in March will be my glucose testing. My mom had gestational diabetes, so I am worried I will have it to. I am praying for the best! :)

On Feb 19th Cody finally got to see Sophia kick!
It was the coolest thing! It's crazy thinking she's really in there! haha :)

I have a lot of pictures I would like to share :)

I gave the Grandma figurine to my mom for Christmas to tell her I was pregnant.
She made a frame to match and to sit the figurine on!
It turned out so cute! :)

This is the onsie I made for my daddy! He is so excited!
He carries her ultrasound picture around and shows everyone! :)

This is how we told my mom-in-law!
She collects coffee mugs, so we knew she would love one that said
"Grantastic Grandma"! :) She said she drinks from it every morning now! :)

This is how we told my father-in-law!
He said he wants one that matches lol :)
This is her bow holder! I bought the Smile from Hobby Lobby and glued the ribbons on :)
The bows on there are from my friend Leigh! :)
She's so talented :)
I made the flower clips :)

And this is the Bright Starts bouncer I won off of the Bright Starts Facebook page!
I love it, and I know Sophie will too! :)

These are my completed burp cloths!
She will be burping in style! :)

Here is her carseat! Cody's grandparents bought it for us! :)

My jogging stroller! The only pink one I could find, and I love it! :)

The boppy my friend Mindy got me!! I love it and can't wait to use it! :)

Here are 3 of the flowers I made her! I was so proud! haha :)

I absolutely LOVE this dress! I bought it at the Carter's store in Southlake for $5! It was originally $40! I was proud of myself! I hope she can wear it for Christmas! :)

This is the top of her shelves.
Notice the Sophia Grace in blocks! :)
I love it! :)

Well I think I have updated everything now! I have a lot of things written down in my Belly Book too. I am trying to keep up with it all! Especially since I have time for it right now! :)

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
