iPhone!

30 Days of Thanks: Day 4!

Something Silly! I am Thankful for my iPhone!
Yes, I only have the 3G, (I hope to get the 4 VERY soon) but this thing has been a life saver for the hubby and I! I do have a lot of fun, silly apps on it, but when it comes to scheduling...It's the best! With the help of Google Calendars, we are able to sync our calendars together and know where the other one is supposed to be! It has been awesome! When I worked homehealth, I was in a different city almost every day. The Hubby could just look at his iPhone Calendar and see which city I was in and what time I would be getting off work. When I was in school, he could see what time I was in class, so he wouldn't call. :) And as far as the other apps, 3 of my favorites are my grocery list, my Organization app and my running app (MiCoach). My grocery list app saves everything I have ever put on the list. I can just scroll though and see what I might need that week and add it to my list! I love it! No more forgetting the list at home! :) And my organization app....well I have everything on there. From Christmas Card lists, to a list of what I should bring on trips (I can check them off and then clear the checks later), to random things like my LVN license #, and things I'd like to purchase in the future. Then I have my Running app! It tracks my runs and tells me how much longer I have left on my run! It keeps up with my training plan, so I always know what my next run is! I love it!

So yes, my iPhone is something silly and fun to be thankful for.
But I am thankful for it! :)

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
