No Good Title...

Today I received some bad news...
I was pregnant for 7 1/2 weeks and I miscarried today...
That's the reason I had stopped running.
I was doing everything in my power to be safe. I had a miscarriage 3 months ago (at about 5 weeks) and was attempting to keep this one from ending the same way.  I knew at 7 weeks that I was farther along than last time and thought I may be in the clear this time. So we told our families. They were so excited! Now we are having to break their hearts and tell them it's no longer true...Cody and I had our time last night. Today was hard because I had to go to the doctor, which made it all more true. My mom came with me. I am ok though. I know that God has a plan, and He has a reason for everything. Cody and I will get through this, continue with our lives, and we will be pregnant again before we know it. Until then, Cody has the gym and his Master's  to work on. I have my running. :) I wanted to be a pregnant runner anyway, so now I have more time to become a runner,
before I become a running mommy. :)

When I got home from the doctor, these were waiting for me
I love my sweet husband :)

Oh and of course...
A cup of coffee! :) Yummy! Haven't had that in a while! :)

I had ordered these last week and they, of course, came in today...

I am now two weeks behind on training and it looks like it will be another week before I can start back up...I am looking forward to next week! I also can't wait for the fall weather and to start running in the cool mornings! :) I just hope I can get up to par so I can continue with my First 5K on Thanksgiving Day! :)

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
