Week 5 Day 1 of Couch to 5K is complete! :)
After 2 1/2 weeks of no exercise, I decided to get back out there! Cody and I headed out for a 5K. Instead of starting over, or going back a week or two, I decided to start back where I left off at Week 5. Just to see what I could do. Well, I am glad I did! I did three 5min runs! I started out thinking, I will do what I can do, and if I need to stop, I will. Well, I didn't need to! I even ran another quarter mile, just for the heck of it! Looks like I will be able to run my 5K in November after all! :) And one of the best parts is....NO SHIN PAIN!!!
I started thinking back about all the running I had been doing. Most of the 1st 4 weeks of the program, I was actually runnning pregnant and didn't even know it. I could tell a Major difference in my one run tonight, compared to the 1st 4 weeks. I was able to breathe better, had a better stride, had more energy, and I could just tell a difference in my own body. It was just an interesting comparison for me...
So I am back and ready to go! Already thinking about Half-Marathon training after my 5K. :)
