I am excited and yet worried because I can't break the hour mark.
I know I have 3 whole months to improve and I still have 5 weeks in the C25K program, but I also don't want to embarrass myself! I am still excited though! Every time I get down because I am so slow Mr. Expendable* asks me if I could ever imagine me running a 5K in the first place! It's pretty awesome that I am just doing it! I can't wait till the big day! :)
*So my husband, Cody, did not like that I kept calling him "the hubby" in my last post (and since he loved The Expendables movie and won't stop calling himself one), I have decided to call him Mr. Expendable from now on. Yes he is that awesome :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :) Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all! Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :) As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon! Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies! Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler.
