Big News!

One of the reasons I haven't been blogging much is because we just bought our very first house!!!
Isn't it beautiful!

We don't move in until next week, but buying a house has taken a lot of time!
I've been packing our apartment up a little at a time, but we still have A LOT to do!

It's hard to move with a toddler, because you don't want to shake their world up too much.
They need their usual toys and to be able to find their favorite shoes amongst the boxes.
Taking it slow and moving a little at a time just seemed like the best option.

We are going from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom home!
With a backyard!
Down the street from a park!
We are going to have so much space!
Being able to go outside in the back and down the street to the park is a huge deal for me!
Sophie and I LOVE being outside!
I am so excited! I just can't even describe it! lol :)

And that's not all of the big news!

I also got a job!

It is an office job, where I will be doing the Nurse paperwork side of a Home Health Company!
It's part time and I will be putting Sophie in Mothers Day Out 2 days a week and then an awesome, amazing, wonderful friend (Thank You Becky!) has offered to help out on other days!
Cody will be watching her for 2 days when he is off as well.
So she won't have to go into Daycare, which was important to me! :)

I wasn't planning on getting a job, but this amazing opportunity just fell in my lap and I really felt the need to take it.
I am really looking forward to it!

These are some BIG changes that are about to happen in our family, so I may have to cut out blogging for a bit. I don't want to say I am going to quit, because I don't want to. I just may not be around as much as I would like to be.

When family comes first, my blogging just seems to get pushed aside.

I haven't run since Rock N Roll Dallas either.
I have been walking, when the weather cooperates, and doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred.
I'm really enjoying the 30 day shred and hope it will get me closer to running shape again!
I'm not sure when I will start running again, but I know I will probably start over with Couch to 5K and go from there. I put too much strain on my body doing those halfs so close together and my body needed a break.

I am trying to concentrate more on loosing weight now than just running. I know that will improve my running in the long run and that is important to me! :)

After we move and I get settled into my new job, I plan on joining a YMCA that is down the street from our house and hopefully I can blog about that journey! I want to take classes, like Zumba and Yoga, and I want to venture into weightlifting! I am super excited about all of that! :)

We are super excited about this new chapter of our lives!
Yes, I realize I say Super Excited way too much, but I can't help it! :)

I also have a lot of stuff going on with my Moms RUN This Town Chapter that has kept me pretty busy!
We are having an awesome Virtual race coming up in July called Running Mad!
Everyone has to be signed up by the end up April if you want a Medal!
It's $11 until April 20th and then $15 after that!

 Isn't that an AWESOME medal!
I can't wait to get mine! :)

I have said this a few times on my blog before, but I usually try to keep up on Facebook more now!
So look me up there and follow me along my new journey of life! :)

P.S. Since Google Reader is getting the boot, I would love for you to follow me on BlogLovin!

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
