Pro Compression Giveaway!!!

THANK YOU to everyone who has "liked" my Facebook Page and is now following along with me on my journey!!!

And a big, special THANK YOU to everyone who shared my page to help me make it to the big 500!! :)

WooHoo!

Now, as I have promised, I have a pair of Compression socks OR sleeves to giveaway from PRO Compression!

This is what PRO Compression has to say about how they work:

"PRO Compression socks are designed specifically to deliver both maximum comfort and speedy recovery times. The science is complex, but benefits such as improved blood flow, stability and comfort are universally understood.  The moment you put these socks on your feet and incorporate them into your game, you will feel and understand the difference."

I have 4 pairs of PRO Compression Marathon socks and I LOVE them! They have been wonderful for recovery after my last two halfs and after my long training runs!

I didn't own any after my first half, and it took me almost 2 weeks until I could walk normal again!
When I wore them after my last two races, I'm up and ready to walk the next day!

I have never tried their sleeves, but I can imagine they are just as great as the socks!
I'm sure some people just prefer the sleeves because they can wear the socks that work best for them already.

Now for the giveaway! It will be open from today (3/14/13) until
Thursday (3/22/13) at Midnight (central standard time)!
Winner will be chosen the next day!
Only open to US Residents at this time.

If you want to purchase a pair now, use the discount code "March" to order now with 40% off and Free Shipping!!! Order Here! The code is good for anyone in or out of the US! :)

Thank you to PRO Compression for offering the socks/sleeves for the giveaway!
Be sure to like them on their Facebook page and tell them Thank you as well! :)

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
