I'm going to Bootcamp! :)

I have recently signed up for Best Body Fitness' Bootcamp Round 2!

It will be for the next 8 weeks and she will be e-mailing me 2 weeks of workouts at a time. I have already received the First 2 weeks and was supposed to start today, but...I ran a half marathon yesterday! HaHa! I am so very sore today, and Tina (the leader of the bootcamp) reminded me that I have 2 rest days and advised that I should take one of them today. I now see why and have taken her up on that! I am going to officially start tomorrow! I couldn't be more excited! I purchased a stability ball and a resistance band just to make it easier for my at home workouts. That is what's so great about this bootcamp! I can do it all at home! I have the support of all of the other bootcampers in a Facebook group and am able to ask questions there or e-mail Tina! I will be taking my "before" pictures today and can't wait to see how I look afterwards! If i can tell a significant difference then MAYBE I will post the pics here. We will have to see! I will be blogging about it periodically though and let everyone know how I'm doing!

Right now I am still on a Runners High! I am still so excited about finishing that Half Marathon yesterday! I spent most of the rest of my day lounging around wearing my medal! haha! I am now ready to start planning for my next one! I may wait until I am done with this bootcamp though, that way I can give myself 100% dedication to the program to see if i can shed some pounds! I know that will help with my running in the long run! So I may not have many long distance runs for the next 8 weeks. There are plenty of HIIT and Interval trainings in the program, so I may stick to those and see where it takes me!

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
