Birthday! :)

Yep...today is my birthday! I turn 29 today...last year of my 20's!
What special thing did I do today? I ran 3 mlies!
Then did some laundry and still working on a mountain of dishes.
WooHoo! Party girl right here!
The rest of my day was spent with this little adorableness :)

She's so good for me on my runs! This morning, she didn't even take a nap like she usually does! She talked back and forth to me and kept looking at all of the dogs and people walking by us. :) I think she will like being outdoors as much as I do. :)

And look what came in the mail today!!!

My new Fivefingers I won from MyFiveFingers.com! :)

They are definitely different from my other pair, but I like them! They "almost" look like real shoes! haha I will write a post more about them once I try them out on Friday. I'm taking a day off tomorrow to spend with my parents, who have come to Dallas for a conference for my dad's job. :)

I'm ending my evening with some yummy Nachos from Fuzzy's Taco's and watching Mission Impossible 4 with my amazing hubby. :) He's getting me an awesome bday gift, but it won't be here for a little while. I'll show you what it is when it shows up on my doorstep! :)

Hope you all have a wonderful evening! :)

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
