Week 3 complete!

Yesterday, my wonderful hubby brought me home ice cream! My favorite...Pecan Pralines and Cream! Sooo yummy! I only ate half of the pint. :) He jokingly told me that since I ate ice cream, I had to run today!  Now I know he was just joking, but I decided to do it anyway! :)
I set out around 6 (I have something on my phone that tells me around what time the sun will set each day so I don't end up in the dark) looking at this pretty face...

She is just the cutest :)
I promise she smiles all the time! Just not when I bring out my phone to take pictures. :)

I decided I was going to finish Week 3 of C25K and do at least 3 miles.
I accomplished both! I didn't use my Garmin the other day, because I thought I was just going for a leisurely walk, but this time I did and I loved being able to see how far I'd gone and needed to go! :)

It was a great run and I even did 2 more 3 min. runs and a 5 min run after finishing the program. Week 4 starts 5 min runs, so I wanted to see if I could do it...And I can! :) I'm starting to get excited again about running again! It feels so good and lil S does so good with it! She's a wonderful lil running buddy! I hope she stays that way! :)

I actually walked until the sidewalk ended today, which was a mile and a half. I then doubled back to make the 3 miles. But I'm already wanting to go farther! When I got home I pulled up Map My Run and figured out a way to go 2 miles and doubling back will make it 4. After that, I will have to find another new route! Otherwise, I will be going back and forth a bunch of times to make more miles! :)

I definitely enjoyed being outside today!
I may try to make it to a park sometime this week! :)

On another note...I finished lil S's Halloween costume today! She is going to be the cutest little ladybug you ever did see! I can't wait to show everyone pictures! :)

What are you or your kids going to be for Halloween this year?

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
