Fort Worth/Dallas Trip Part Deaux!

On Monday, Jackie had to work, but Brad, the hubby, my brother, and I went and had lunch at Panda Express! I love that place, but glad I can't eat it very often. So very unhealthy!

Then my brother and I took off and headed to the Container Store. If you are a closet OCD and love organization then this is the store for you! I LOVE the place! If I had a house and not a stinky apartment, my entire house would be done with things from the container store!

We then hit up Central Market. I really wish we had a place like this near us. I loved looking at all the organic, healthy foods! I bought a Twisted Fruit (yes I know they are for kids, but it looked so tasty!), some Almond milk, and finally found the Vita Coconut water I have been wanting to try!
I got the one with Pineapple to try! Unfortunately... I left it all at my brothers in Dallas. He will be coming home in a few weeks and will bringing it with him, so I will tell you what I think of it at a later date. :)

The hubby and I have been wanting to try to make our own sushi so we bought this as well! Now we are ready to get started!

I'm sure I have not stated before, but I am a total Mac girl! I have an iPhone (where most of my pics come from), and a MacBook for my blogging! :) So when my brother said he wanted to go to the Mac store, I said Let's Go!
I decided to take a pic of my blog on an iPad! I would love to have one, but maybe in a few years. I am just enjoying my MacBook right now! :)

Tuesday was our last day. We woke up, packed everything up, and headed to meet my brother for lunch before we left.

The 3 of us met up with my cousin and her hubby at a cute little place called La Madeleine
This was the letter given to us for our food.
That is the perfect letter for us, because our last name starts with W!
I got the half Chicken Parisien, cup of french onion soup, and the pasta salad. It was delicious! And I once again, ate it to fast before I took pictures :)

After lunch, we went to a place called Fat Straws.
It's a place that sells Bubble Tea.
If you look closely you can see the dark "bubbles" in the bottom. There are actually Tapioca bubbles. Reminds me of a gummy bear. Very chewy. This is why you use the Fat Straws! You have to suck up the Tapioca bubbles! I got the Thai Tea Milkshake with bubbles! (one on the right). The hubby just got the Thai Tea. I tasted it, but I like the milkshake better, of course! :)

 I highly recommend the place!

Afterwards, we headed out for our long 6 hour trip home. It was 4pm by this time, but we surprisingly didn't hit any traffic. It usually does not take us 6 hours, but when you have 2 puppies in the car, you have to stop and let them go to the potty every so often. :)
It was a great trip! Brad and Jackie are great hosts! And it was great to see my brother, and my cousin! :) Can't wait to go visit again! :)

  2. That fat straws place sounds really interesting! Never heard of it before.

And I so would love an Ipad. It would make getting work done easier since I stay at home with the baby girl. I could sit with her eve more, but still be able to work.

Park Problem Solved! :)

Looks like I have found my park! It's about 10 min. away driving, but it is totally worth it! My run wasn't all that exciting, but the Park was! :) Here are my new running buddies! :) They are fun to watch while running by! :)  Yes that's my finger...The sun was very bright and I didn't see it! lol :) I just love it all!  Stopping to take pictures! :) I have to Thank my mom who actually Google Maped this Park for me! :) So glad she found it! :)  As for the run, I really don't know how long the trail is, so I don't even know how far I went! I made it all the way around, walking, in less than 15 min. so I am thinking that it is at least a mile. If it is, then I did 3 miles today! If not, then...I don't know! It's times like these that I wish I had my Garmin ! :) For the first 2 laps, I decided to just Run/Walk. I would run 5 min. walk for 1 or 2 min. Then the last lap I just walked the whole time. Just to enjoy it! I just have to say...the hills are

Cowtown Half Recap!

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 I ran my first official Half Marathon!  Before the race started, I met up with these fellow MRTT ladies!  Pic from How My World Runs It was freezing cold (yes 33 degrees is freezing to this Texan! haha) and I was hoping it wouldn't warm up too much because I run so much better in the cold. I ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was completely comfortable! We had a wind advisory in affect and I think the wind made it even cooler. This was also my first time to run with my new haircut and with my hair down! Didn't bother me at all! Short hair for the win! :) I was in the very last Corral to start. Yes, I know I'm slow. Get Over it!<---Saw that saying on several shirts throughout the race!  Looks like I need one! haha :) I had to post this pic, because I have no idea what I was doing, nor remember even taking it! Haha! About 20 min before the race, I headed to the porta potty's. Yeah, I should have
